Author Topic: right click troubles  (Read 631 times)

OK, so today right after I finished cleaning my PC of virii and all of a sudden after I rebooted I noticed I couldn't right click anymore. In other applications it works, (e.g. Firefox, any game, minecraft) I don't know what to do and it's getting more frustrating because I can't use the button to the left of the right CRTL.

I don't want a virii if that does that to me.

That's a very helpful post.
What are you cleaning your computer with?

Did you download anything strange lately? Do you have antivirus?

your pc just turned into a mac

Malabytes anti Malware
never heard of that
Malwarebytes?
Well then, is it the free version?
Try some other antiviruses, then check out if your mouse is fudged up or something.

doing an overnight scan, goodnight

I've noticed the inability to right click might be an administrator issue. I'm not sure how to get rid of this

k, so i woke up and VIPRE antivirus quarantined like, 5 Trojans gonna remove them and reboot and hope it works

EDIT: it didnt work but i figured out it isn t a problem with my mouse because te button beside the right ctrl doesnt work either, so somethig is disabling right clicking overall

Check your mouse settings, the right click buttons could be set to NONE instead of Right-Click

FIXED! went to regedit.exe and went HKEY_CURRENT_USER\software\microsoft\windows\policies\explorer\ and there was a value that the virii made called NoViewContextMenu, so i deleted it and rebooted and it worked, thanks everyone. locking...
