I'm having problem's building, seriously.

This is the 3rd time I've asked the forums for help on my building idea's, back in V12-15 I was a awesome builder, I could build builds that looked the right shape, I could build really good, etc, but now, I'm really stuck, these are the problems I am having problems on:

1. The building height for a floor, how many blocks should I have it high or not?

2. How can I plan the exterior? I always build about half of the build, find it rubbish, then I dump it.

3. Should I put interior in? Whenever I do put interior in, I find it a issue to build 2x thick builds, espically with 2 layers of 1x thickness.

4. The shape, I use to be able to plan in all different shape and sizes, but now I can only build in a box, and if I try build in a different shape, it really does fail.

5. I dislike the designs I have for my walls, for example, I use to use that method where I use brick, then a 1x1x- etc, I hated that style, tried new styles and I'm failing with it

6. How can I choose different wall designs/styles? Like in number 5, I try different wall styles, and I can never seem to choose a right one then I delete it.

7. I have a look at other's builds, and I start to get inspiration, I try and replicate it, but at the end I totally copy the builds style/pattern, and then people accuse me of build stealing.

I was a awesome builder in V11-15, but where the hell has it all gone?

There is pretty much nothing I want to build, I want to just go into a server, and build, wether or not bored or not.

1. I usually try to build 6-7 studs/blocks high for interior stuff.

2. On the Exterrior I usually just go with trial and error but I try not to just completely start over, that ends up with me getting no where.

3. Yes Interior is better then no interior, I use a 2x thick wall as well, but the inside looks completely different compared to the outside.

4. On the shape, I usually just start with a basebplate and add other plates to give it a not so boxy look.

5. With Walls I usually have a 6-7 block high wall, and with that I'm not quite sure on how to say this but I have a different design on the first to second layer of bricks then I use a 5x height brick and keep that plain.

6. Just stick with whatever you have and if you don't like it try to reform it instead of scraping it.

7. I've used other builds as inspiration to just try to do it in your own way. I'm not really sure on how to answer this question btw.

I suggest ceiling height to be over 8 If you're trying to build a bed or chairs to sit in.

There is pretty much nothing I want to build, I want to just go into a server, and build, wether or not bored or not.

I feel the same. I have a BL_ID of 25964(noob)but I play avidly and I'm very good. I used to be better at buildingforst and such but now i just get bored when I start to make a house or something.You should stop by my server some time and we should just make a build project.



I'll tell you some of the heights I use and walls styles that I think are good too. Also, my in-game name is Spectrum.

1.The build height for a typical story should be around 6,7, or on occasion 8 bricks high.

3.For the outside, plan ahead and make it two bricks wider than you want it. If it's too big for your tastes, you will have to stick with a small interior.
