good job most people don't get that far

Man, I tried to make it as obvious as possible. I'm an experienced GNU/Linux user, and I sure as hell know what "ping" does...

Because GNU/Linux is superior to Windows in both usability and freedom. Plus, all OSes are "command based", most of them just have fancy Graphical front-ends that makes it as easy as pointing and clicking.

From your video, you do too, or blockland wouldn't run.

I tried Ubuntu and didn't like it, but mainly just because of Steam's lack of support.

I tried Ubuntu and didn't like it, but mainly just because of Steam's lack of support.

It's because there's no official port of Steam to Linux, therefore you have to run it through WINE, and since it's not a 100% Windows "emulator", Steam has a difficult time running since it has to use WINE resources instead of native Windows resources.

Last time I checked (a few years back), Steam didn't even work with WINE.

Ubuntu sucks stuff, it's trying to user friendly to the typical computer user while being the complete opposite. Wine works for barely anything, drivers are a pain and compatibility is awful. Last time I used it was 10.10 and it's in an identity crCIA. There's no real reason to use it unless you're doing real programming or you're a kid trying to act like you're good with computers.
