I know I'm late, but the Big 4 is a concert with the 4 gods of Metal.
Metallica, Megadeth, Anthrax and Slayer. All at one concert. I just got the DVD today at Target and Jesus h. Christ it is awesome. Discuss Big 4 and or the featured metal bands.

I own the DVD and it is awesome. Have watched it 3 times already (entire thing). I'm not a particularly big fan of Slayer and Anthrax, but their performances were okay. But as a diehard Megadeth fan, i must say: HOLY stuff that setlist was epic!! Same goes for Metallica.
I wish I was there :/

Megadeth was loving awesome. Especially when it started raining. However metallica's preformance was meh. The singer sounded as though singing out of key

EDIT: "You know what we're about to do? A BIG loving WAR DANCE"

no Amon Amarth or In Flames? no thanks.

Not part of the Big Four. Not even thrash metal.

And I agree with Joker, Metallica don't sound as good as they used to. Unlike Megadeth, who I think sound even better than in the early days (it probably helps that they're not wasted 95% of the time anymore)

Lame bands. Big 4 are the biggest metal bands of the 80's. The bands you mentioned are all horrible

Panteras earlier stuff was pretty cool too. But that's more 90's.

Thanks. Now please tell me, which of these two do you like better
Disconnect or Dread and the Fugitive Mind?

sounds like a terrible idea.

Definately "Dread and the Fugitive Mind". The riff is much cooler, and the breakdown is good. The solo is also quite good.
But I'm generally not a big fan of "The System Has Failed" and "The World Needs a Hero". They went through a hard period there, but luckily they've become much better in recent years.

uhm, what?

Thats a matter of opinion good sir. In Flames and Amon Amarth are Melo Death pioneers, a totally different sub-genre of metal.

<3 Sweden.
