Story
In 2015, an German-Austrian drilling company, Schneider Bohrgerät (Fictional, mind you) decides to drill in the middle of the rural mountain town of Starkes Inneres (Also fictional. They discover a mineral so precious and dangerous, the otherwise quite brave, blond bimbo-filled drilling company wisely decided to abandon the place. The local townspeople didn't notice, and the ones who did, didn't care.
25 years later, in 2040, a group of curious hikers (who happen to be British scientists) stopping for the night at the local hotel enter the grounds of the abandoned factory, and discover thousands of tons of the mineral. They take it back to their hotel room, and find out the mineral can absorb any kind of shock or impact, and is extremely sturdy. They make tests back in Britain, and discover they can make almost impenetrable vehicles, buildings, extremely powerful and accurate bullets, armor, just about anything. They keep the tests a secret, and go back a year later, only to find out the German-Austrian Government waiting for them, claiming the mineral for Germany-Austria. It turns out that a German-Austrian sleeper spy in Britain had found out about the tests. The scientists were silently deported out of Germany-Austria, and when they got home, they reported to the Parliment, who declared war against Germany-Austria. They then send one platoon of British troops to Starkes Inneres.
