forgetin sick bro, we went up and glided around for around 15 minutes, then came down and helped out around the glider and tow planes.

Did you break the sound barrier?

APPROACHING SOUND BARRIER

Heh, you went in the Viking. I got my silver wings during my GS at Dalton Barracks with 612 Sqn in the Grob Vigilant, it was too blustery to do it solo (the sidewinds made it loving impossible to taxy the aircraft properly, left rudder was virtually unresponsive and the right rudder would chuck you onto the grass), so I had the brass up with me. Either way, I clocked up about 10 flight hours before I handed my uniform in.

P.s: Enjoy not being able to ever go shooting because of the MoD procurement department's ability to not order ammo. Also, the L81A2 is stuffe for a number of reasons listed here.

This is probably going to be my last year because I don't have time for it. But good job on your silver wings bro.

I signed up for work at RIAT last year, it's where I got JEW NOSE from (at a rip-off 35 quid). If it's not too late, sign up for it, seriously, if you don't mind half the people there being NCOs or serious business FOD plods, then it's a whole bundle of fun. Just don't forget vaseline and waterproofs.
