Reminds me, I was telling someone they were white, don't wear your hat like that, when they were wearing a cap that black people popularised, so he was being a poser.
Then someone told me "That's tribal you friend"
My argument was that I was not discriminating someone because of their race.
But you are insinuating that a person can't wear their hat in a certain manner because they are white.
Which is tribal, to say that can't do so simply because they are white.
Especially if you follow up as you did, by saying that it's because he is trying to pose as a black person.
Which is to say that White people can not act in a similar manner to Black people.
Which all in all, is just aiding in segregating what I suppose could be called "cultures" of two races.
I don't know if you can solely base the term "race" off of someones ethnic background, or if it should include a persons religion or not, but either way, if you're against someone for no reason other than a pre-made judgement of an entire type of people off of no valid or reasonable basis, whether that is being against all people of a certain skin colour or religion, well, whether it's tribal or not, it's prejudice.
You shouldn't have the argument that it's not tribal because it's not against a race.
Racism, loveism, Ageism, they're all forms of prejudice, and that's the real problem.
If you're abusive to someone based solely on their love, skin colour, religion, or age, then it's prejudice and it's uncalled for.
Stereotyping and prejudging based on those stereotypes is, well, wrong.
Forget being a tribal, you're just prejudice.
(
Race is classification of humans into large and distinct populations or groups by factors such as heritable phenotypic characteristics or geographic ancestry, but also often influenced by and correlated with traits such as appearance, culture, ethnicity, and socio-economic status. Technically, a race can be based on someone for their culture too, which includes religion, so, to answer the original question, to prejudge someone onsimply being Jewish is tribal, as is it about nationalities too.)
