Author Topic: 2 new computers  (Read 865 times)

my grandfather died recently and we got his computers and pretty much everything in his house... one of them has Windows 3.1 and the other has XP. we are probably gonna use XP for a hosting computer (for blockland), thanks grandpaaaaaaaa~~

Enjoy your stuffty host.

Crucify him.

That's sad :c

um thank you?
i never said my brother wasn't going to add stuff to it to make it a really good computer

You seem horribly depressed that your grandfather is dead.

he died like a few weeks ago, didn't feel a need to post it on a lego forum, is that a big deal?
plus i didn't have that much of a relationship with him.

So basically you are going to build a computer, I doubt it has anything half decent and is worth anything

I was more pointing out the fact that your grandpa died and you were only showing happiness about it.

No, he got two finished computers. You'd be surprised if you knew what hardware Blockland can run on.

I know blockland won't run on 3.1 and I doubt blockland will run well on the other computer

and i was more explaining that i'm done crying over his death after a few weeks?

look, i know i might get mass hate for saying this but I'm jewish. in judaism they celebrate the person's life instead of crying all the time when they die. we have 7 days after the day he dies that we have people come over and eat and do all this stuff and have a special service for it. that's not really crying about it. people still say 'i'm sorry for your loss' or something like that to be respectful but you talk about what he's done in his life and how he was as a person rather than talking about how you miss him so much. in fact, the only times i remember my mom (his daughter) crying were when she spoke at the funeral and on one of those 7 nights, the first one, when the rabbi gave her a blessing. that goes to show that we really don't talk much about the death. do you see where I'm coming from here?

3.1 is lol and the other computer i have no idea about, it's more my brother that's going to go set that up so if you were to ask anything i'd be asking him and typing what he's saying.

Well no duh it won't work on it.

I used to host BL on a 650Mhz Dell machine from 10 years ago (Ran XP). Now I got an HP that is 4x the speed, thanks aunt!

Specs on the non-DOS machine.

Would it be possible to send over the DOS machine for nostalgic purposes? D:
