Author Topic: Dedicated server authentication problems  (Read 419 times)

In the console:
Quote
No user/host entry in master server, re-sending authentication request
Authentication: Sending Initial Request...

And then most of the time it never does anything afterwards, except for the usual "Posting to rtb/master server". The server also does not appear in the list when this happens, but if it manages to report a "SUCCESS" for the authentication, the server appears.

I can still connect to the server through my local IP and 127.0.0.1, but not 68.xxx.xxx.xx. (I feel better leaving that x'd out, even though I know nobody can do anything.)

webcom_postserver(); also does not help.

Any ideas?

Should probably mention that I do have Blockland port forwarded from 28000 to 28101. Enabling and disabling UPnP does not fix this either. Server is also on high processing priority.

bump

I managed to get ~6, maybe 7 players on the server last night. No one crashed or left unexpectedly when the authentication didn't work.

I have your exact description of the error.
I jus keep opening it until it works.

Crappy internet.
I do believe I have good enough internet to host a simple freebuild server that has ~8, 10 players maximum.
Also no one last night reported any lag issues at any time.
