Author Topic: Unwanted Program Starts on Startup  (Read 1416 times)

So my friend was over at my house, he's a runescape cigarette. He said he was going to do some MLG pking. He downloaded this thing called DDOSPK Premuim v7.6. Now it starts up everytime. It says something like "If you want thiis program to work you have to update your java". But, im afraid it would harm my computer if I updated. So how do I remove it?

DDOSPK Premuim v7.6
Im taking my bets that its likely a botnet/zombie.
Remove it from the startup folder and run a virus scan.

If you cannot delete it from startup you will need to delete it's registries. lemme go find that path again.

Put a password your computer, don't let people on your stuff.

Its a Runescape DDoS program.
Your friend is a friend thinking he can take down servers.

EDIT: Kick him where it counts and tell him its from me.

okay

goto start and then click Run, then just type regedit in the box
or just type regedit in the start menu.

It should come up with a bunch of gibberish system crap.
Goto HKEY_local_machine/software/microsoft/windows/currentversion/run

and delete everything that has to do with DDOSPK
then

Goto HKEY_current_user/software/microsoft/windows/currentversion/run

and do the same thing.

Op is an idiot for not knowing what a ddos is before using it.

Op is an idiot for not knowing what a ddos is before using it.
OP never said that he, himself used the program.

Because everyone on the internet knows what a DDOS is.

I know what a DDoS is. These look suspicious. \/

Use, Avast! or AVG or Avira triple A's and
run a virus scan.

Use, Avast! or AVG or Avira triple A's and

I use maleware bytes and it picked up 8 viruses. Fixed. Thanks guys.

If it's a process that runs on startup, download "CCleaner". Scroll through some advanced options and eventually you'll find a tab that lets you remove certain startup processes.

edit: Nevermind.

maleware bytes
In other words:
Manware bytes.

EDIT:
Did you kick him yet?

I bet the real situation was "I tried to DL a hack for runescape and I got viruses help me guys!"
