I want dead island.

Is it out yet?

He has a huge point.

I still enjoy playing the games

I don't see what the problem is

The huge problem is that games are not creative anymore and we will no longer just pay 60 bucks for a game we will pay 60 bucks the online subscription fee plus the game's fee to play which you will pay for forever and ever.

There's plenty of innovation going on, just look at the indie gaming scene.

As for the extra payments and such, that only really applies to MMOs and Xbox Live.

Xbox Live.
:(

Also apple users who like the security are going down the drain too with the new cloud they are using with macs, i really despise this idea.

there will always be a market for hardcore gamers. if people are getting pissed at motion control and touch screen bullstuff. the developers will began making more real games again. its not a 1way road wherever the publishers want. they gotta follow the money.

and whats this guy hating on internet connections for? i love the nearly full digital gaming that all consoles have to use now.
i mean his complaint has has much logic as "if the power is out you cant game as well"

the single player, non existent user of the old gaming generations are dying out because thats not what people want.
all i read from this article was "i dont get the kids these days and their new toys, im going to go sit on my loving rocking chair and reminisce."

nintendo already learned its lesson with its 100% casual gamer system. and they are coming back from it now.
and soon xbox live will be free, because everyone else is free, and less and less hardcore gamers are that stupid. it looks bad on xbox

this is why game developers shouldn't throw their brain out and mindlessly follow the other bumbling idiots

the kinect star wars video disgusted me

you don't just take star wars, make the stormtroopers as stupid as rocks, and then go and make it horribly family friendly at the same time (reguarding to how no limbs are chopped/the lightsaber hardly contacts etc)

Every generation will play these games, and make new ones even if they're completely similar, because the older ones would have been forgotten.

The guy who wrote that is a serious prick.
Notch's game doesn't even have a gun in it.
All the writer is paying attention to is the major companies.
There are a whole forgetload of people or small groups working on games that are actually fun and DON'T take after every other game out these days.
For example, the very game this forum is FOR. Minecraft too. And Half-Life 2 wasn't even a small company, but it was pretty damn original and Portal 2 was innovative, so to speak.
