Author Topic: Advanced RPG Tools  (Read 3103 times)

Don't hold your breath on this one. I am really slow when working with add-ons and really lazy. Primary deadline is before summer. The tools are intended for more advanced RPGs as they require some above average eventing for them to really do anything. If you some other tools you would want, by all means tell me.

Okay then. Now that the primary deadline is behind let's start working on these! =D Any ideas for more tools?

Finished tools
  • Axe (236 tris)
  • Chisel (192 tris)
  • Fishing Spear (104 tris)
  • Hammer (156 tris)
  • Knife (94 tris)
  • Pickaxe (178 tris)

Tools to do
  • Bottle
  • (Fly) Fishing rod (I'm not familiar with animations in Blockland so this one will take longer.)
  • Small hand scythe
  • Shovel
  • Rake
  • Bucket

A hammer in that style.

I was sorta thinking the default hammer would be good enough. But now that you mention it.. I'll get to it.

Well of course you need a nuke, thats the only thing missing

hydrogen bomb, Hand drill and fishing pole?

I don't really see a use for a drill and the fishing pole I do not know how to do in terms of scripting. I do not know how to attach an emitter between two bones/armatures/nodes. That's Truce's job and he ain't saying a thing.

Another hammer. The sledge hammer.

I was thinking it would kind of work like the grapple rope, only the constant projectiles activate those special events, and the first projectile launched would be visible and gravity affected

but yeah the drill was kind of just a random idea

Perhaps "firing" the fishing rod performs a raycast to see if water is nearby. If it is, you could stand to win a fish based on random chance. No need to complicate it with emitters and such.

Hey! That's a pretty good idea! I could just make a neat little swing animation and then make it fire a projectile. It would be like fly fishing.

Another hammer. The sledge hammer.
That's closer to a weapon. I see no use for it.

Would I be able to have these models? I like them. I need them colour-shiftable though.

Where do you plan on using them? I do not know if it is possible to have more than two parts of the model colorshiftable. Currently on the gray parts can be colored with a script.

Oh good, that's what I meant. Also, DRPG2.

Sure, as long as you give me credit. I'll do some more models, redo that fishing spear and then PM them to you.
