I love this laptop, it's nice and fast and can even handle some pretty intensive games such as L4D2 and Portal 2.

My dad has got a toshiba laptop.
Its 800$ and it runs like stuff.

The first one isn't bad, with the first CPU option and 2nd GPU option. It's quite a balanced computer for the price.
Also, I can vouch for the quality of HP/Compaq computers, nobody I know has had any bad luck so far with them.
You could probably clock that CPU to the top option anyway.

All prebuilt desktops suck, apart from a few little known companies.
However you don't really have a choice with laptops.

I'd say go with a desktop, but if that's really out of the question, go with the envy 14.
