I assume that's a requirement, unless the design itself already overcame the need of one. And maybe the tentacles move the object.




I wouldn't mind that whatsoever.
I think the tentacles are to propell it around and act like a ballast during storms, they can also be anchors.
The closer a house is to the surface the more expensive it is.

Based on the size of the scuba divers and the size of the garden on the roof in the first pic in Travis's post, id say they are VERY small

But would they really? I know that you are more susceptible to sunburn while in a swimming pool.
I think that's because of the radiation.
Also I think that solar panels don't absorb the radiation, but the light.
