Author Topic: AquaScraper - Surface/Underwater Jellyfish City. Discuss architecture  (Read 3241 times)

It's NOT a water 'crapper', It's a water 'scraper'.

Ever since the beginning man has pondered the mysteries of its mind. It turns out they have a subconscious longing to be a jellyfish. Originally designed for the purpose of being an asylum and refuge place from global warming(I'm not going into that.)

It's the idea, and thought of architecture that intrigues me. <Link> <Link2>

Personally, I'd like to have a balcony hanging over the sea.
Discuss cool architecture.

What are those dangly things?

What are those dangly things?

Tentacles for smacking sharks and whales away. I don't know actually.
They might be the source of energy of the city.

based on the diagram they probably are rotated by currents, creating power

Seems pointless...

Land lover, knowledge isn't eternal so is it pointless?

Seems pointless...
expanding humanity so we don't have to survive on only the smaller percentage of landmass our world has

being able to utilize our massive oceans as living space

The tentacles? I was under the impression that they were dangling solar panels.

Or perhaps they're meant to get tangled up in the propellers of passing boats so that the skyscraper people can cannibalize the unfortunate sailors.

putting solar panels underwater would severely decrease efficiency

they could be oxygen-getters i guess

putting solar panels underwater would severely decrease efficiency

But would they really? I know that you are more susceptible to sunburn while in a swimming pool.

still water both magnifies and refracts light
the distortion of light might decrease efficiency

someone needs to make this on blockland

No, solar panels 50+ feet underwater would be severely inefficient.

think about those things getting hung up in each other and seeing how they most likely do somthing important they would be really forgeted
