Author Topic: Beta Blockland was actually more complex than today's Blockland :/  (Read 3169 times)

A few minutes ago, I came across this old Blockland Youtube video from 2006 by Sampapa, called "Things to do in blockland." I saw most of the video, and there were more bricks to choose from, it was easier to edit maps, trolly things that trolls do today weren't as bad as they are now. I saw awesome spiral staircases that can make the best builder on blockland cry and beg for his mommy, and ramps no one has made in blockland for years.

 here's the video: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-6015918353764976861#

Trolls were actually worse.
Brick ownership didn't exist.

oh.

And also it all looked ugly.

Editor wand, V20.

HOLY stuff YES.

I LOVED THE EDITOR WAND IN RTB.

wand sucks. it wasnt playing with legos. was just another modeler app then.

plus it lagged to all hell after 1500 bricks, no matter how good your comp was.

The editor wand was the main cause of lag to begin with, and stretched textures, gross!

water was awesome though

I saw StoreClerk, Bleh7777, and tails(I think) in the chatbox.

this also appears to be RTB, or perhaps v0002 and rtb footage.

That looks more like v0002 to me.

Beta Blockland is only a fond memory for those who have been with Blockland for a long time and watched it grow. Truth is its an ugly game, with a Robloxy GUI, a lot of abuse and exploit opportunity, and plenty of lag to boot. The editor wand is crap, the only reason people liked it was because they could be lazy about how they use bricks. :P
