It makes perfect sense, beating somebody with the butt of your gun is more effective than stabbing them.

well if you hit them in the head it can knock them out, so they're basically screwed...

i remember something in mw2 that you held a knife out with a handgun, the should be the only way to use your knife quickly, but when holding a 2 handed weapon it takes longer

You arent always going to hit them in the head.

Melee kills should be more like Killzone 3 or any game like that.

Wow, I hate people like you. People barely use Ak-74u's anymore, they only used it in the beginning because no one was used to the new game mechanics, and they needed a good gun to use.

However, the people that do use it now use Rapid Fire, or Rapid fire and Grip most the time.  I know it's a part of the game and it's available for me, too.  But it's insanely cheap, you just drop your enemies in half a second.

Rapid Fire attachment was a mistake, IMO.

It has less recoil than the FAMAS, and a higher rate of fire.
It's quickly become my favourite gun.

yep the AUG mixed with the Dual Mag and a silencer makes it a very useful weapon

Just in case no one caught this, I will state it.

MW3's knifing got nerfed by the looks of the E3 demo.

If you watch it, not only does it look like it takes a bit longer to actually knife, but after that, it takes a long time for you to raise your gun again.

Besides if people complain about knifes- you must be ridiculously bad if you cannot shoot a guy before he comes that close to you.

Then they have faster reflexes or you have a bad connection if they knife you first.

Most of the time it is reflexes.

If you have bad internet, oh well
