But lets say he still runs everything he just never updates it again and there are no bugs

I don't play much anymore, anyways, but I would still play less. After all, there are plenty of other games to play that are still being supported.

Nothing much, just get annoyed about squlite errors :D

stab myself and bleed out on the floor, wondering, why, why did he do this, why

If we're talking about everything running the same then there wouldn't really be any difference. I would probably be active in cycles as per usual.

The other day, I was at my Field Biology Bio. They made the tests too easy, I finished early with everyone else. I started pondering how Blockland would run if Badspot died. Did he give enough stuff to someone to literally take up the game legally? I mean, source code, updated and functional.

By all my thought, I believe that if Badspot were to go, Blockland would stagnate and die. The master server would die first, and we'd need Kalph or someone to create a new master server and mod our games to work off of it. Maybe Ephi would help... But, in the end, we'd be lost. Could we continue buying accounts if his Paypal closes?

I'm pretty sure you couldn't.

If all that happened, I would still play on single player when I felt like it.

I've always figured that in the event of something like that a small third party Blockland community would emerge, sharing things built in single player and in general just keeping in touch, but that might be wishful thinking.

But wait, if the master server died, would our keys still be functional?

I would still play as much as I do, I don't seem to ever have errors with Blockland so it wouldn't annoy me

Wasn't actually asking. Rhetorical.

I was thinking of him, but I never heard of him having full access to every asset and account.

I just realized that, too: Our keys are verified over a server he maintains in some form. What would we do if that server went down...?
