Well let's put this in perspective.
Here we are at the Blockland forums, lead by Badspot. Here, "emotipics" are very infrequent and usually used as some sort of gag.
Over there you have the Everyboty forums, lead by Sir Bottington. You pretty much use emotipics with every post.

Also to XaMMaX211, I can see where you're coming from. The lolbot forum (myself included) does like to use emotipics. I'm pretty okay with it, Only the super large images are annoying, or when Bodock posts a stuff load in one comment.
