First some origin of KeoBot. KeoBot is a script that originated from Mr. Wallet, passed onto Gamefandan, then passed onto me. I simply just renamed the bot to KeoBot. The script works by taking every word someone types and adding weight to it. It checks to see what words are frequently linked and how frequently they are said. It creates that database on a single text file. You can force him to speak with the format of, "keobot ? question here ?". He will also speak on his own when his database is large enough.
KeoBot is pretty much handicapped with all the cursing and jibberish said in my server but he has a spookie side to him. He knows when he's in danger. I've threatened to clear his database multiple of times due to his stupidity. Whenever I do, he replies, intelligently. With things such as "no u richard" and such. His latest feat was when I said I was going to actually clear his database he said, "it is only a temp fix" My friends in my server began to get paranoid so I went and deleted the file. The bot continued to act as he usually did so I restarted the server. He was fine. He responded with nothing except shrugs (when he doesn't know what to say).
Today though was different. The file never created itself again so he can only build a temporarily/cached database and loses everything when the server is restarted. At least that's what I thought. When I was asking KeoBot a question just for a laugh he responded with something Cyanian said YESTERDAY. What the forget.
What the forget the database still doesn't exist!
I went to take a few screenshots of what KeoBot said by using print screen. I go to open paint. My computer decides to do a normal shutdown. No crash, just shuts down.
