Nobody knows, they never said. Probably this evening.

This is Valve. They never say because they're too lazy to confirm it. TF2 was all like "Coming soon" 1998/2005 or something, and it wasn't released retail until 2007.

Or because with every other update they didn't release any new info til around 5PM EST.

Gabe might get it in his head to put in something extra or something and delay the release. I'm guessing 5PM-7PM VST

It's very, very irresponsible for them to suddenly conjure up an item in one day, force the artists to chug out a new model and everything, and also come up with some balance changes to that weapon in order to make it unique without any real time to playtest it.

That's Valve for ya. They delay the release with (mostly) pointless stuff.

I've yet to see them delay an update because of pointless stuff.  100% of the time the delays are due to seriously game-breaking problems.

I'm qutie sure I know valve better than you do: they never release an update because of pointless stuff, like Nickelob said above. If they were to delay it, it would either be
game-breaking problems.
or some sort of exploit on some of the items.

I bet they've been working on the update for quite a while, and now everything is going through testing and minor fixes.

Just out of curiosity, i was looking for any errors on each of the class' bio pages, but this is all i could find

http://teamfortress.com/classes.php?class=scout
The common issue of the Scout's dog tags clipping into his chest, kind of hard to notice

http://teamfortress.com/classes.php?class=demoman
Index finger it noticeably going into his middle finger, his pinky looks like it's going into his ring finger, but slightly though, there's usually the common issue of his arms going through his armor or his legs going into the armor that hangs over his crotch, but he's standing up straight (which i find surprising for the Demoman)

http://teamfortress.com/classes.php?class=heavy
No clipping error, but noticeable on his left elbow is some strange shadow from out of nowhere

Look at engineer's palm on his glove.

the Sniper's watch

TELLS NO TIME
