Ok, here's the wrap of it. I'm not 11 feep, that's a joke. I'm 17 (can be proven)
The RTA/Queensland department of transport
cannot legally withhold that information from me. Less than a month ago we called up the NSW equivalent for a legal studies project about legal processes between the media and government agencies.
They legally can't withhold information about incidents on roads. They can withhold names, car registrations and licenses,
but not the fact that the accident happened, or where.
Why can't they withhold records? See: "
The Queensland Right to Information Act 2009". In Australia, this is how the media gets their juice - requisitions under the freedom of information / right to information acts.
All the americans coming in and saying "this happened and it wasn't published"; you are in america. Your population is huge, our population is tiny. When even a minor road accident happens here, it always makes atleast a print journalism website - no matter what. It might not be on primetime TV, but it always makes a print website (local newspapers/newspaper websites always report on things like these)
Think about it from a media perspective. Less than a month ago two of the biggest prime time news programs (A current affair, today tonight) ran programs about both the state of our roads AND dangerous truck drivers. There has been a massive push in the media to crucify the government over both these issues. Moral of the story is that they would have a field-day with something like this, especially because it involves children.
Again, if feep wants to give me a more specific location (you could even PM me, I'm not going to spam it everywhere) I could directly verify or destroy his story. If not I'll call them again once I get home. If that turns up no results (preemptively expecting a "its too recent and wouldn't be documented" response), I'll call them again in a few days.
If that turns up no results, we know the story is unequivocally complete bullstuff.Other than that, I think it's just a case of feep biting off more than he can chew. You could argue that the story was pulled until the cows come home, but that's not legal or logical, and doesn't justify why there are NO public reports. This certainly wouldn't be the first time someone has lied about something like this for attention, but it's definitely one of the less believable ones.
Anyone who thinks I'm an starfish for pushing this, get over it. I lost a friend in a car crash last year (and there are records of that), and it actually does sicken me that he would lie about this. I wouldn't be pursuing this if I had the slightest inkling that he was telling the truth. I did my research before I posted the first time. I actually know what I'm talking about.
