It was a house centipede, they aren't usually red by what I've seen.

And sting rather than bite. But do they "sting" humans?

take some gasoline and make a circle around your house

spread lighter fluid and other flammable material throughout the inside of your house and light it then run outside and light the flaming circle. the flaming circle willl keep them from escaping and with luck the fire in the house will kill the centipede.

keep in mind the fire may only make it angry and then if that happens ur whole family is in trouble if it can get over the wall of fire.

yeah, they fly now, and are fireproof. But a shoe works just as well.
