I'm pretty sure I said I have no budget for Alienware

I say you use Acer again, most reliable company you can get, simplyacer.com is a good place to buy your acers for a decent PC for £300

Why does everyone believe acers are good?

XPS is also good for gaming
no, xps is horriblee
go with something from gateway or acer, it's the parts mostly but the companies do matter for price.

Why does everyone believe acers are good?
Because they are pretty good for budget/performance

no, xps is horriblee
What makes you say that?

You can get an XPS LAPTOP that can handle any modern game on highest settings.

That's a GT520, not exactly a high-end card.
Believe me thats all she needs. You could run any modern game with a loving 9500gt(my uncle does). Excluding directx11 games of course. And I'm sure miika doesn't need a god of a card anyway

I just want to kill some floors without the computer shutting down on me. ;__;

acerr are horrible pieces of stuff. stop trying to convert him/her and contribute to the damn thread.

The time has finally come for me to get a decent desktop computer, I'm going to buy one tomorrow most likely, but the question is

WHAT BRAND?

Okay so, I have an Acer laptop right now and it totally sucks so I'm not good with Acer, it can go suck my richard as far as I care. So, any suggestions on what brand is a good one and doesn't die within the next two years?
Don't do it. Stay on your stuffty laptop. You're too poor to buy a computer.

My dad has an acer netbook and it seems like a well built computer. And it looks like they have a good power:price ration.

build you own, or find someone who knows how to build one for free. Its a lot better an easier then just buying a prebuilt one

It may be cheaper, but I wouldn't say it's easier if you don't know what you are doing.

I would say pick out the parts and have someone build it for you for free. Maybe a friend?
