Author Topic: when is the next BL update coming?  (Read 1671 times)

I did forward my ports. I hosted fine with forwarded ports long before the "everyone can host" update, and for a while after that. Now, with absolutely no changes to anything, people can't connect to my server.

Happened to me too.

I fixed it by redoing all my port forwarding, mainly the part with the LAN properties/Internet Protocol part.  Also, changing the port I used worked too.

if the next update comes with like no new content; just a handful of bug fixes or something...

you would all bitch and whine.
i mean windows has a new version like every 4 days lol. you arent expecting anything new from them though.

Which is kind of ironic because people still couldn't host

CORRECTION:

Everyone could host. The people complaining they couldn't? Were morons who didn't know what they were doing/talking about.

No, some people still cannot host.

The main new feature is that port forwarding is no longer necessary for most people.

No, some people still cannot host.

Way to call everyone who didn't know they had to set up a static ip a moron.

Actually, I remember one help topic where that turned out not be the problem and if I recall correctly they never figured out what the real problem was.

everyone can host.
only the idiots cant.

No, some people still cannot host.

That quote doesn't say people can't host. It means that most people do not have to port forward to host.

The people that do not need to port forward us UPnP ("Universal Plug n Play" I believe)
