Author Topic: Stop bitching about the lack of realism in video games brothers  (Read 1643 times)

Is there any game ever that was made for realism?

Blockland sucks because the lego people have jets that can run on an infinite amount of fuel.
TF2 sucks because it takes 16 shots to kill somebody with a pistol.
Minecraft sucks because there are flying trees.
QWOP is amazing though.

Wait you're talking about Blockland? Who the hell plays Blockland and expects realism?

This. Also Stocking, thanks for turning back into a normal person and not a loving handicap. We only need 1 reaper around here.

Games aren't made for realism
they're made for fun.

I don't thing dying from one hit by anything in any game is fun, even though it's realistic.

Gran Turismo series, Forza series, Need for Speed SHIFT (2), DiRT/GRiD series, all EA Sports games.

Video games would be boring if they were realistic, just imagine.  No HUD, no crosshair, you can't skip to the next battle, you'll have to walk/drive, etc.

Gran Turismo series, Forza series, Need for Speed SHIFT (2), DiRT/GRiD series, all EA Sports games.
Need for Speed died after Carbon, which was kinda ok.

GT and Froza are hardly realistic, And the others you listed are arcadey as hell.

Blockland and everywhere else

Games are made to be fun. The mechanics of a game need to be fair and not have your character die everytime you get shot ONCE and have to start the campaign from scratch.

Sometimes it is fun to have realism in games, Battlefield has sniper bullets curve down after a few yards and stuff can be broken and blown up and leave no cover.

Far Cry 2 makes it so that fire can spread and shooting ammo piles distract/ kill enemies.
