I don't either but I do go to metacritic to see the general consensus of whether a game is considered "good" or not before getting it.

Well Metacritic isn't just one reviewer, it's an average of pretty much every professional review out there. I mean if Halo was inferior to DNF, why would even it's most mediocre title get a near-perfect score and universal critical acclaim, while DNF got thrown down the stuffter by pretty much everyone?

The demo is supposed to be a demonstration of the game. Hence the title of "DEMO". The whole purpose is to give people a taste of what the game is like. If the demo is stuff, then it's a safe bet the game is too.
