Author Topic: Is it possible we are truly alone in this universe?  (Read 3500 times)

If anyone has watched war of the worlds we would know that aliens would not be capable of being here for long, as we have infinite organisims that the aliens wouldn't gave grown immune to, they would die off before they could completly destroy the earth.
The thing about war of the worlds is that real aliens wouldn't even be compatible with our viruses, since they would have completely different anatomies/cell structure.

Lets do a completely stupid idea, like shooting a gun in space with writing on the bullet, and see if anything comes after us

4D is not comprehendable to us

That's irrelevant.
look at what you said and then look at what I said-- it is completely relevant to what you said

How do we know we aren't the invaders? There could be some other race out there that is exactly like ours only they're not human.
Mind = blown

I bet you also believe there is a planet out there full of furries.
You're stupid.
I even have proof. That you are, not that there's a planet of furries.
Is a man yelling in the woods if noone can hear him?
In order to ask that question, you must be stupid.
Just as with anyone who asks "If a tree falls in a forest and nobody hears it, does it make a sound?"
It's a stupid question that anyone with any understanding of sound could answer themselves.
4D is not comprehendable to us
Humans have still yet to fully understand our own third dimension, but we still know it's there and what it does.
Not why or how, but we do know what.

Lets do a completely stupid idea, like shooting a gun in space with writing on the bullet, and see if anything comes after us

Too bad there is no oxygen in space, thus the powder wouldn't burn and nothing would happen.

A railgun might work.

That wouldn't work.
A railgun might work.
It would go through space, yes.
It will never stop.
That is, until it hits something.
And that something would have almost no chance of being a planet with sentient/intelligent beings.

I would doubt we are the only life in our star cluster. And by life I'm not talking "advanced" civilizations, although that's totally possible. If I were to guess, the galaxy alone is absolutely littered with life of all kinds. It's not that hard to wrap your mind around. We're made up of some of the most abundant elements out there, we started out as simple chemical reactions.

Make them spread?

I have no doubt we're not alone. I believe that the other civilizations out there just don't have the technology to travel to Earth. If they have, perhaps they're respecting our species or something and are refraining from showing themselves.

unless they don't want to be associated with such evil creatures as us
I mean, they could be watching

Make them spread?
A better idea would be to broadcast signals that can't be mistaken for background noise.
If only we hadn't been doing it for decades. :P

If there were advanced civilizations here, radio would have let us know.
Then again, there is a possibility that those advanced civilizations would be more, or even less, advanced than us, and either not have radio yet, or have exceeded beyond it technologically.
Make them spread?
By the time the projectiles even left our solar system, they would be extremely spread apart.
It would increase the chances, but not very much at all.
Not to mention that even if it were to reach an intelligent civilization, they wouldn't be able to understand it.

I find it nearly impossible that we aren't.
I personally think that there might be some beings that exist completely on more dimensions than ourselves.
Such as the fourth or above.
If we were to exist in four dimensions, we'd be able to travel back and forth through time, because time is the fourth dimension.
I think.
I know that one of them is time, and I'm pretty sure it's the fourth one.
4D is not comprehendable to us
Yeah, the 4th dimensions is time, with the first four dimensions grouped into something known as spacetime. The first three dimensions are the spacial dimensions, giving us X, Y, and Z. The 4th dimension represents duration. The first three can't exist without time.

So, in a way, we do perceive time, but only as the change of everything around us. At least, that's how I interpreted it.
