Author Topic: Through the Wormhole.  (Read 2225 times)

Yesterday I was sitting my dad and we were eating pizza. We saw this show, Through the Wormhole, with Morgan Freeman as the narrator. It was on the science channel so it could have been at least a little interesting. It turns out we watched about an episode and a half, the first one explaining exactly how time travel into the near future is actually possible, though a little complicated. I couldn't reexplain the process if I tried, but it all pretty much made sense and they explained it well. It's on a very high thinking level and it's just really awesome. I only saw the full Time Travel episode, I can't even remember the other episode we began, but they both just blew my mind. I think most or all of them are on YouTube; if you have a while to waste, you can watch the Time Travel one Part One and continue them.

Has anyone seen this loving show? It's freakin' amazing.

Everything said in the show is true, no exceptions.

This Time Travel one is crazy, I can't even begin to wrap my mind around something like that being possible. How would you see yourself, what if you were to interfere with the past and forgeted up the present with the Butterfly Effect? Same with the future.

Yesterday was like a marathon or something and I watched so much of it. I wanted to stop watching but with Morgan Freeman's voice explaining stuff I couldn't stop. Was finally able to after it was an episode I had already seen.

Actually that was a joke about Morgan Freeman voicing it.
But that is pretty cool.

Imagine how boring it would be had they chosen someone else. :o

I find it funny that the Christian Mingle commercial is on the Science Channel. :cookieMonster:

Who cares, Morgan Freeman is narrating it. :cookieMonster:

If they had anyone else besides Morgan narrate, it would have been another generic science show. But my dad and I love it.

Amazing show full of knowledge (and I'm a sap for space and science stuff)

It's a bit strange that the quantum approach to soul was the most convincing for me. I really hope there is something.
I believed it for a second, and are still extremely skeptical about it.

Imagining space itself being rooted to the mind from the very beginning of existence, and when your body dies you just separate and fill the volume of the universe once again.

It's incredible. I do hope there is some sort of afterlife without a physical body just like the Bible said(I'm not Christian.)
That all feelings of pain, boredom, and everything else cease to exist, and you are forever.

Horror Edit: Oh god, Dead Space suggests that all sentient life in the universe is connected and is one eventually with the universe.
We will bathe in the pools of assure made of each other and everyone. We will all become one, and swim in the fluids of bile and blood.
