The album is great, but the rock-opera show is what I'm here to talk about.
Over the course of this summer, I'm having forget part of a production of the show at a local theatre. It'll be my 17th show there, and I'm pretty excited.
Background on the story:
Captain Walker goes away to war after marrying a young woman, leaving her with a child. He is supposedly KIA in the war, so as the years pass Mrs. Walker finds a new lover (his character name is actually Lover :O). Well, Cpt. Walker isn't actually dead, so when he comes back to find Mrs. Walker...you know...he ends up shooting the lover in the head. Unfortunately, their 4-year-old son Tommy witnesses this, and is left in a sever catatonic state. The family struggles with it, nothing is helping, but eventually, when he's 20, he's freed from the spell of being blind, deaf, and dumb.
It's a pretty dark story for a youth theatre, but anyway, I play the role of Cpt. Walker. Yes, I'm married, but the funny part is my wife is about half my height (6'2 woot) I'm easily the tallest kid in the cast, but I digress.
So, discuss, I guess (or, have you been in any shows?). We open in mid-July, I'm hoping to keep this topic alive until opening :3
