I often read Garfield comics and I wonder, does Jon listen to what Garfield says?
Garfield's dialogue is represented in a thought bubble, so some would say no. Jon seems usually to react to Garfield's body language very strongly. Jon is a single, unemployed nobody(presumably a virgin) so it seems safe to assume he's merely insane and that the representations of Garfield's dialogue are merely figments of Jon's imagination.
