Author Topic: Hosting for blockland  (Read 662 times)

Well I havent done this in a while...

Possible settings to configure:
Router:
Gaming Mode: Enable/Disable
UPnP: Enable/Disable
I can also port forward

Blockland:
UPnP: Enable/Disable

I was told once that enabling upnp while also port forwarding doesnt work or something but I cant remember.
What is the best combination of these options to get my server to show up on the server list?

Enable gaming mode, enable router UPnP (for other applications), port forward, and disable Blockland UPnP.

disable Blockland UPnP.
So check the box that disables it or disable the disabling by unchecking?

What does that do anyway?

Ok first of all do this in-game:
Options|Network|Disable UPnP

If Disable UPnP is checked, then un-check it. If it still doesn't work check Disable UPnP then port forward your ports.

To learn to forward your ports go here for windows: http://forum.blockland.us/index.php?topic=40783.msg632960#msg632960
And here for Mac: http://forum.blockland.us/index.php?topic=65941.0

Check it. It's an automatic port forwarding system but with some models of routers, it uses methods that Blockland doesn't like.

He's asking what's best, not how to do it.
