Lol it's called the internet.
Don't give me that tired excuse. Being online doesn't give you a free pass to be a moron simply because you're capable of wearing the mask of anonymity. People think that because it's the internet, they can do as they please and dodge any sort of criticism because 'omg it's the internetz liek it always happens!!!' but I will judge someone for their actions online far more harshly than I will in reality, simply because of said mask of anonymity. They think they can get away with anything.
I really have no idea where you people find idolization of artists who draw research because i never find that stuff. All i see is occasional garbage that i avoid as much as possible.
Also by your logic any group is horrible because of the minority of starfishs that associate themselves with the group.
Go try and critique slugbox's horrible anatomy or 'trying too hard to be anime' style. You'll watch about twenty people jump at you and tear you apart like you were a fresh carcass in the middle of a pride of lions. I'm serious.
Plus, that's not what I said at all. I said I'm perfectly justified in judging a group as a whole when the smaller, deviant, and morally repugnant subcultures are so readily and eagerly accepted by the majority of the community. And that's what I've seen from those who follow MLP like it's a religious text, because they so readily apply their 'love and tolerate' in the wrong contexts. Bad behavior, bad ways of thinking, bad values and such should not be tolerated or loved. They should be corrected with a certain level of tolerance and love, not blindly accepted.
ps i'm done now SORRY LOL i just felt like it needed to be said
