I watched the show. I liked it a little bit. It was a generic girl's show that wasn't even that good. I watch it sometimes for the same reason I watch Barbie: Life in the Dreamhouse - because it can be funny or cute every so often. It's not the best thing since sliced bread and in no way, shape, or form, warrants it's own subculture. I am surely aware that not all bronies clop, and those plus the rabid bronies are the worst. However, I do not like bronies in general.

So you watch a show: big deal. Get over it. You don't need to announce it to the world, or be disrespectful and compare it to serious issues like a gay or trans person 'coming out of the closet', or wave around your softcore research on a forum intended for a children's lego game, or anything like that. I watch Powerpuff Girls reruns and Dexter's Laboratory reruns and many similarly great shows. Should I be, like, calling myself a Dexie or a Puffy and then preaching how amazing the show is and how everyone should watch it and so on and so forth? No, not really.

I don't really like bronies as a result of the subculture. It's tolerated, and that's bad. By tolerating those who masturbate to research of a children's cartoon, or research of children in the children's cartoon, or write research or guro or draw it, or by allowing them to special interestize and loveualize it, you are at least somewhat at fault. I can judge someone based upon the group they belong to because they actively choose to belong to it, and while I enjoy watching My Little Pony every so often I would not dare call myself a 'brony' or dabble in the fandom just because of how terrible it is. I like to discuss cute or funny things that happen in the show, not OCs or research or suggestive pictures of pony or any of that mindless drivel.

Okay, so you enjoy the show, even if only a little. You wish to not be seen by yourself or others as a brony. Fair enough. But honestly, if you really think that the fandom is terrible simply because of the research and NSFW content, you haven't seen enough of the fandom. I'm not saying you have to, but I think you should take a look at some of the music. The artwork, too, can be quite amazing. The main "brony blog," if you will, is Equestria Daily, and they very often post what are called "Drawfriend Updates," where artwork from the community is collected and displayed. You can see these posts in the art section.

Also, referring to the last sentence of your quote:

I like to discuss cute or funny things that happen in the show, not OCs or research or suggestive pictures of pony or any of that mindless drivel.

This probably isn't the greatest time to be in the thread. The show itself is currently in between seasons, and when there are no episodes to discuss, I will outright say that this thread can become quite the stuffhole.

barbie, dexter and powerpuff girls all probably have rule 34

we can't accept anyone who watches it!!!

I don't call myself a brony or use any brony "memes".

The people who do are loving tools.
you do realize fluffies are a pony submeme/fad

Oh, sure they do. But they're probably not worshipped by a good portion of the fans of the show (cough slugbox cough).

Furthermore, in regards to Rayeok: It's not just the research, it's the rampant hypocrisy. Bronies preach their 'love and tolerate' message when in reality few abide by this mantra. Anti-LBGT bronies using the show as a stage with which to set up their ignorant, close minded opinions (similar to the tribal, or misogynist, or general starfish bronies - and let's face it, this makes up a good population of the fandom because it makes up a good population of the human race. The majority.) coupled with the rabid bronies who refuse to understand those who dislike to show or point out logical issues with it, or try to force people into watching/liking it... plus the overall general lack of intelligence the fandom has shown as a whole. A thousand dollars for a research comic. Thirty-two hundred thousand much unneeded dollars for an unneeded documentary that allows bronies to whine about the oppression, when real people who suffer as a result from actual oppression are actually in deeper trouble than 'no one understands y i clop 2 ponis!!!'.

Regardless, I admit some of the art is good (not the music, I don't like listening to much of the stuff around nowadays - and from what I've seen it takes it's roots from that) but I make it clear I want nothing to do with the fandom, or equestria daily, outside of the people I know and the people I deal with in this forum, and even then I don't like it that much. From what I've seen of this thread so far, it's an amalgamation of all the gripes I have with the Brony community. Softcore research, roleplaying, etc.

>Theres research in this fandom
>Horrible fandom

Lol it's called the internet.

I really have no idea where you people find idolization of artists who draw research because i never find that stuff. All i see is occasional garbage that i avoid as much as possible.

Also by your logic any group is horrible because of the minority of starfishs that associate themselves with the group.

Edit: EDITSSSS

I agree that there are plenty of idiots in this fandom (and every other one too) but this show has brought out good qualities in many people who have watched it and generally fosters more positive interaction between people. Acting like you're special because you watch the show is stupid but people like to belong to groups and telling other people what groups you belong to is a nice way to meet people who have similar opinions and ideas.

If you're talking about mespirit's server, it's because it's a steaming pile of stuff run by an arrogant script kiddy friend.
