if she took your phone away too, it'd be borderline neglect imo.

Just become socially awkward so you don't have any friends and you will be bored as forget if you don't get your computer!
Wait forget now I made myself sad.

Children don't need phones...They need food and shelter.

What.WHAT.
Some parents don't know when to let their children do their own thing. Mine are still having problems letting me do my own thing.

If she feels that she needs to ground me all year then she can because she's my mother. I can't do anything about it.

simple.

some schools, if you kids actually paid attention in class, are starting to use cell phones as a way of accelerating education. teachers can communicate with their students with websites that use a status-update system similar to facebook (i.e. teacher posts lesson plan for today, it gets sent to all the student's cell phones).

and if your family has a data plan and his/her phone isn't a total piece of stuff from like 2005, that student can also use the internet on the go for research/studying.

cell phones are also major tools of communication, such as texting friends in some after school group for todays plans or the date of an event for next week or some other time.

plus, imo cell phones just broaden the spectrum of communicating with friends and staying in touch with others.

disagree with me all you want lads, that's just how i feel about taking away cell phones. especially if schools are utilizing them for classes, you might as well be impairing their educational learning abilities, making them inert in being up to par with their class mates.

i mean obviously if you're taking it away as a punishment because he did something stupid, fine and dandy.

who gives a damn, this is about pones.

This thread needs less me and more ponies!
