while i was more sick than i am now, i had the idea that a pony's leg-area is rather similar to ours in different placement
so i decided to sketch it out (from right-to-left), and i ended up sketching something that rather grosses me out (very left)




at the same time it makes me chuckle

anyway, basically the heel and palm-ish part of the foot (i suck at anatomy names) are similar to the hock joint and "foot" part of the hooves
i am not sure if that is accurate or not, but it was a bit helpful

also, sketching with ink pen is next best thing to marker sketching

Yes, it is actually accurate, with the possible exception of the palms on the front hand (I don't remember that part from the weird horse anatomy lessons I had to have over the summer as part of a riding class). The hind leg is definitely correct though.
