*facepalm*
Hey Snow, I wasn't part of this community then, but I'm with you all the same.
More research? No wonder the brony fandom gets so much trash talk. I swear there are a lot more perverts among bronies than among Super Mario fans, and yet...
...Unless you're adding up all the characters of the series.
Either way, in the "how far is too far" department, I've come to realize that even the hatingest of haters can be saved if one of their close friends is a brony.
Why?
I was one of those haters.
A year ago, I hated MLP. I hated anything to do with it. It pissed me off. But my good friend Zach was a brony. This led to some minor conflict at first, but we got over it. He and a few others online pressured me to make an OC. I made one, a dark and violent monster that embodies everything that friendship is not.
And then I realized it wasn't believable, so I had to do a little research (got plot synopsis of gorefics) to make it seem legit.
And somewhere along the line, I must have said, "Hey, this isn't that bad after all."
A year later, here I am. I've mostly scrapped that original OC (I might pull him back as an anti-hero, because he basically destroys villains in the most gruesome but swift ways possible. His one honor is that he never drags out a death.) and I've got ten new ones that I'm weaving into my various storylines.
I still can't watch many of the episodes; I have a nasty anxiety disorder triggered by anything with some sort of suspense and zero control over the action, i.e. movies and TV shows and even a lot of books. But I'm getting there. I have to pause a lot due to anxiety attacks and video buffering, but I'm getting there.
It's a long road ahead, but I'm on the road at least.
Thank you brony community here for not punting me out as so many other communities have done (not brony communities; I got punted from a large spriters community for necroposting in the requests area because my browser wouldn't display the dates correctly).
