what people don't seem to understand, and that I've never really explained despite the numerous requests I've gotten to "draw us all together", is that the hard part isn't actually drawing everything, it's figuring out how you're going to represent everyone in the picture
the primary choices for doing this are:
A) use avatars, which are commonly not very distinct (e.x. a symbol) or depict other characters (e.x. a pony from the show)
B) ask people what they look like or to send pictures, which is incredibly time-consuming and ultimately some people won't oblige
C) take a wild guess (this doesn't work (ever))
D) use OCs, though not everyone has one or wants to make one
and in the end, you'll still have at least a few people who aren't satisfied with how they've been depicted
it's just a huge mess a lot of people don't like to deal with
