Either way, I'm becoming progressively more and less concerned. Although I'm more concerned about the series, and might even throw up my hands and walk out if Twilight isn't changed back (not before firing off some last-ditch attempts to convince Hasbro to let it go), I'm getting less concerned about the whole "humans" thing, and less concerned about the finale. My real concern is, as I mentioned, if Twilight STAYS an alicorn.
I mean, we've got some pretty nifty editor folks around youtube. I almost wonder if some of them will start editing Derpy into the backgrounds or something.
I guess worst-case scenario is Hasbro ruins the show and it becomes a "pretty pony princess" pile of stuff, at which point we can all go "forget this" and the entire fandom can walk out or at least stop buying things, and Hasbro's profit margins would take a heavy hit (one of the only ways to communicate to executives).
Best-case scenario, Hasbro realizes what a mistake it was and stops stomping on the fandom.
