Author Topic: My Little Pony: Friendship for Blockheads: General V2  (Read 8932315 times)

That was a good read, Blastdown. I AM PROUD TO HAVE YOU IN THIS TOPIC, SIR.

Also, I just read through the first 200 pages or so. Oh god the stuffstorms back then...

This is why I love having Blastdown in this topic :3

I have finally watched every single episode so far at least once

yay

My friend is a fan but he only watches the show late so his parents dont see him.

Hes on ep 18 and his fave pony is Dr. Whoof.

Oh and he hates Rarity.

One thing that often bugs me is that people tend to use points of interest that don't really matter when it comes to trying to explain why thousands of people watch a cartoon.

The reason of "great animation" is a good example. When you watch cartoons on TV, you're not going to even think about the quality of its animation unless it is utterly terrible.
Unless you enjoy criticizing the work of TV animators, or judging them for an award, you're not going to bat an eye over the animation.

Another is using the various crew members who worked on many other cartoons in the past as another reason. Just because a few guys from various classic Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network cartoons worked on this show, it doesn't mean it is should be the next big thing.
Don't get me wrong, the talented folks deserve their credit and whatnot, but their involvement isn't going to sway someone into watching a cartoon unless they are fans of said crew members work.

What about saying it's our opinion to like it?

Keep in mind this was started by /co/
Also if they are fans of crew members' works that's a valid reason.

for some reason I'm not quite sure what you mean
though that sounds like an aggressive smartalec response

"unless they are fans of said crew members work."
I can understand some people would watch a show if their favorite director/composer/voice actor/etc. worked on a show, but for the most part I don't think many know who half these people are. It's sort of a hit-or-miss reason, not one I would use.

Then I don't understand what your point was for the 3rd paragraph.

I guess I worded that badly, stupid words how do they work

And I dont wanna talk to a writer

What I was trying to get across was that to most, these crew members wouldn't matter because they probably have no idea who they are. They might know of the various shows they worked on, or they might not.

Saying you should watch the show because mysterious x worked on x in the past, to me, doesn't seem like a a valuable point. That is unless the guy you're giving the point to knew about the guy and was a fan of him/his work, then the point would have more merit.

MLP Thread Fight Club again?

what are you talking about

those awkward moments when everybody here is fighting for anything, but i see this is more.... civilized
