This is pretty much the case, if one person watched My Little Pony : Friendship is magic, and he was a 17 year old guy and there was no brony fandom or anything, he'd feel that he himself is flawed for watching it, but gives in to watch it anyway.
But since of the huge amount of them forming the bronies, they feel no shame, and after lauren faust declared the show "for everybody", their E-snakees went harder and they took over the internet with brony pride.

Already two of the biggest threads on the forums are for My Little Pony, if this fandom gets any bigger then it's time to think about making a forum for yourselves, this is the blockland forums.
