Here's what I don't get. When a thread becomes a nonstop train wreck the original poster or members of the community have the sense to end the entire thread. Yet you pony-lovers continue this train wreck trying to save it and it's not going anywhere.

Take a look at when an average topic becomes a train wreck. The original poster either locks it or the members of the community stop posting in it.

It doesn't end at first. You still get a few members trying to save it by force starting a conversation but the conversations die easily so there is no use saving it.
