I hope the show doesn't dissolve into a melting stuff of stuff that only tries to make references to internet memes and bronies.

The way Episode 1 ended, it seems they'll need to squeeze the rest into one more episode more than they already do..
is it me or do they shove alot into the first two episodes..?

According to Lauren Faust, Season Two was already written before the bronies and memes started to appear.
So in the least this season should be fine, a third season would be more likely to have such things, however the team apparently doesn't look at fanfiction/isn't allowed to be influenced or some such.

Why would it be at any other time?
It's always the same time slot for every TV show's new episodes.

It was already announced that the 8:30am episode was a re-run. :/
