My most recent work. I hope you all like it.

Together with the Elements of Harmony, Discord's reign came to an end. It was but a century before that he had tasted defeat such as this, and since then he planned for it.
As the chaos drained away and peace returned, something else much darker stirred.

A contingency plan.

And so, as the lives of ponies finally returned to normal, it began. It started with a pony lost in the caves, utterly corrupting and deforming the filly. It spread to the diamond dogs who tried and failed to control the it. From the caves and the earth, the undead arose, spreading their curse to those above

The chaos consumed Fillydelphia and Manehattan's crowded streets within hours, providing more contorted minions for the horde.

The horde scattered out into the forests beyond, with fire and turmoil in their wake. The outer colonies, such as Appleoosa, were doomed from the start with their petty defense.

Then to mountains they climbed, and fell, and climbed more, forever scarring the peaks a darkened hue of crimson.

That was when they reached Canterlot, in the dead of night. That was when the two longest-living beings this plain of existence had known, fell. And with them the Sun never rose, the moon never fell.

Thus was the first and final equestrian apocalypse, stuck....in eternal twilight.
