Why is this the most posted-in topic in Off-Topic, and possibly in the forums?

give me reasons.
the traffic is a small number of the same users too.
Perhaps it's because I'm still half-awake, but I can't quite figure out (or really explain) why.
I'm going to go with this though:
The topic is about an on-going show with a huge fandom. It discusses the many different aspects of the shows fandom, as well as the show itself. Whether if it's comments on fanart, fanfictions, youtube videos, songs, etc.
Every weekend, a new episode pops up and when they watch it they get incredibly excited and talk about it for the next few days. It usually ties them over till the next week, unless that week doesn't have a new episode (at that point they repeat the discussion about the fan-related things).
How this has gotten it up to 4500+ pages I'm not entirely sure.
Perhaps it's just fun to talk about, and/or because they almost treat the topic like an IM chatroom.
