Nobody should need to shoot a point 1mm in diameter. Unless the military has run out of stuff to waste money on and is now wasting our tax dollars on using our soldiers as flyswatters then there is little need to try and hit something that small.

I can tell you now, it is harder than you think. Unless you've been training for a long time, it's likely you won't hit anything near that size even at short distances.

Probably. IMO, you should go with a .22 rifle of some kind first. It won't make you develop bad habits from recoil, among other things.

Actually up in Canada thats the only rifle caliber we can fire at a firing range.
