psst.you guys remember that one GIF that displayed a whole episode or whatever but was really small?who did it? and how? I wanna make a super long-ass gif of the Homestuck end-of-act flash.
The actual process itself wasn't that long; most of it was processing time. Incredibly, most of the time was consumed by GIMP having to add every frame as a layer. If I'd had a command-based method to make an image with all of the frames as layers it would've been much faster, but all in all it took around 6 days from beginning to end.There's also another method that involves using a single command with ffmpeg which is also very quick but those looked much crappier so I went the long route.
