because certain members have left the team, hasbro/hub is being cautious and ordered half a season.
as long as the the rest of season two, and these thirteen episodes of season three do fine, they are likely to order the other half.

Only so far it's more of something to see if season two is going to be good. Then they will hopefully make more.

what we didn't realize was that the core team was still there for most of its development, the animation and few script changes are the most that appear to have taken place without them.

season three will be the real test, in my opinion. it really will be the first season without Faust and other core team members.
regardless, I have no doubt they will be able to keep up with the work they've done thus far.

also, we still have 21 episodes left in season two. season three won't begin immediately either, so we still have a lot of time before the next season to find out more information about it and whatnot.
