We're posting ponies. Images on the internet. They're not gross or researchographic (at least not outside the thread, which we've only just recently started doing, and the ones inside the thread are within the rules). Almost ALL pony-related activity goes on in here. Even when it's outside the thread, it's images of cartoon ponies for chrissakes. People act like we're posting the most horrible of things, like something you'd find on r/WTF, but I honestly cannot see how anyone can be that intolerant to images from a cartoon. It'd be like if I became enraged from people posting Winnie the Pooh.
I can agree with you on this. I think the only people who really do care about pony pictures are anti-bronies, everyone else just thinks were wierd for liking a "little girls" show but they don't make a big deal about it. However, the anti-bronies do have a point when they say that off-topic has pretty much become a brony forum. Still, Badspot doesn't seem to have a problem with us so we migth as well take advantage of it.
Tony is constantly starting arguments. He's purposely entering a thread that is clearly marked "My Little Pony". He might as well be entering an eating establishment that serves food he does not like. Some of this food may be served at other restaurants (threads), but he is choosing to enter the one that contains purely things he does not like. I don't waltz into the Hot Boys thread and go on and on about how awful they are and how I hate their thread's content. Granted, there aren't any "hot boys" being posted around in other threads, but that's besides the point. Even outside the thread he starts these dumb arguments. "Oh, your opinion on the matter is something I don't agree on? Well that's not surprising coming from a brony." And then everyone starts fighting, because a human being's first instinct is to defend itself.
It's impossible to enjoy myself in this thread anymore. I used to come here when I needed a pick-me-up, to see all these people who have similar interests, and now I can't because this starfish is constantly causing people to argue with him. It's obviously his plan to get us all to move to another forum, but this stuff has been going on since LAST MARCH and our numbers have done nothing but grow, no matter how slowly.
The thing is, he is only starting arguments because people let him. I might sound like some stupid inspirational speaker, but you can only control your reactions. You could just scroll past the arguments. Sure they can get in the way sometimes, but I've still be able to enjoy myself many times when the arguments have died down.
I'm not trying to "have this place run how [I] want it", I'm trying to take action against someone who clearly doesn't belong here.
*You know what's ironic? The anti-bronies have always used
this exact same argument. Just replace "someone" with "something (refering to ponies)" and you might as well have an Aphronties (I don't feel like looking up spelling) quote. Writing this post felt just like writing a post against an anti-brony when I myself got tangled in this stuff back in June.
