You know, it is saddening how everyone is falling in love with FiM and all the older gens get so much hate.
Without G1 then G4 would not exist. And I know all the generations have their downs, but there's plenty of great things about the older ponies. Like how the 80s cartoon had that really cool fantasy feel.
The older generation ponies need more love. It's like no one cares for them anymore. :C
Of course I still love them.
And let it be known, that I think the G3 toys are so much better than the G4 toys.
No offense but the G4 ponies look kinda ugly as toys, don't get me wrong, they look good animated, of course. But the toys are kind of ugh.
The older generation toys were actually really pretty, imo. Especially the G3 toys, because:
I actually like the G3 merch a lot better than the G4 merch.
Because the G3 toys not only resembled the G3 animated characters more, they also did a lot more, and they were a lot bigger. And by 'they did more' I mean the G3 pony figures had magnets in their hooves, and they would interact with the playsets. Like Twinkle Twirl's Dance Studio and Crystal Rainbow Castle.
And when I lost the wand to the castle I used one of my ponies' hooves lol.
Plus the G3 pony toys were so much prettier, in my opinion.
Meaning, I think the G1 cartoon is better than FiM and the G3 toys are better than the G4 toys. Of course I still love FiM it's just, we should appreciate the older generations. Show the older ponies some respect.
